Bathroom Renos

Our house was built in the early 1980s and I’m not lying when I write that the downstairs bathroom looked like an 80s locker room with cream tiles galore.

It’s actually a HUGE room, 5m x 6m and had three separate smaller rooms inside, one each for the toilet, bath and shower, and then had a large corner vanity.

We bowled the internal walls out, except for the toilet which we left to have it’s own room and then opened everything up to let the light shine through.

The shower is actually on the wall to the right when you walk in.

So the new bathroom now features;

  • a stone bath (that was quite impressive to watch them get in)

  • a double sink vanity with new tapware

  • recessed three section medicine cabinet

  • new toilet

  • a 1200 x 900 glass shower, with dual rain shower head

  • lino floor (replacing the previous cork tiles)

  • electric towel rail

The whole think took about 5 weeks and cost just under $32,000.
