Grounding or Earthing

This is a really easy mini exercise to do.

It’s essentially connecting with mother nature. Electrical conductivity exists within your body and mother earth so grounding allows you to discharge negative ions back into the earth to be transformed. It can help regulate your immune system

There is a great article on Healthline.co.nz that talks about the scientific, albeit little scientific research, done to date.

There are different types of grounding;

  • You stand with your feet shoulder with apart on the grass ideally in bare feet, and imagine you have roots growing down through the layers of the earth.

  • Lie down on the grass and again imagine roots going down through the layers in the earth

  • Walking or lying down on sand

It’s obviously super gentle, it doesn’t change your physiology immediately, but a little bit here and there can be really nice and calming.
